Il y a très longtemps, avant que les reines et  les rois règnent sur le Burundi, deux frères, JABWE et NSORO règnent du sud du royaume avec paix et harmonie. JABWE a eu un enfant avec la femme de son frère NSORO. Trahi par son frère, NSORO voulu se venger en essayant d’assassiner son frère.Pendant ce temps, le nouveau-né, Ntaré, a été pris en charge par sa tante, reine du royaume Buha, qui l'élève comme son fils. Ntaré grandit et devint aussi fort que le lion et aussi doux qu'un mouton. Lorsque qu'une sorcière du pays de son père lui demande de revenir au Burundi. Ce retour au pays de son père le mènera dans un aventure où il deviendra le premier roi du Burundi.

Many years ago, before kings and queens reigned over the Land of Burundi, two brothers JABWE and NSORO were ruling the southern part of the same kingdom in harmony and peace. Jabwe went to have a baby with Nsoro’s wife. Nsoro felt betrayed by his brother Jabwe causing the two brothers to hunt each other to death. Ntare, the new baby born is given to his aunt who is queen of the kingdom of Buha in order to protect and raise him. Ntare will grow up to become as strong as a Lion and gentle as a sheep before a witch from his father’s land ask him to return to Burundi and save the nation from the terror of a dangerous Lion and snake. This journey will lead Ntare to be the first king of Burundi.
